End design of the vase, a formline sun transformed into an otter

The salmon runs of the 2000's on Little Manzanita Estuary, Bainbridge have been remarkable

events. The series of PNW formline carved vases are studies of these salmon and their transformations.

In the images, as in real life in the estuary, the salmon become eagles, frogs, otters, and sculpin.
