I always wanted to create a dragon in glass, and this was the result.  Chinese dragons ruled the nine heavens, and the Emperor Dragon, L'ung, ruled them all.  L'ung could be distinguished from other dragons because it alone had five toes on its feet.  Artisans creating images of these dragons could make them from the parts of seven different animals, often at the discretion of the artist (normally the head/eyes were from a pig).  I selected the head of a dog, the scales of a carp, the horns of a deer, the beard of a goat, the backbone of an alligator, the feet of a chameleon (five toes on the front legs, four to the rear), and since Chinese dragons do not breath fire, I selected a St George's dragon for fire breathing.  The flame from the dragon is repeated in its tail.
